Festivals in the land of Thunder Dragon are rich and happy expression of its ancient Buddhist culture. The festival commonly known as Tshechu is being held in honor of Guru Rinpochhe, the saint who introduced Buddhism to Bhutan and in the Himalayan dominion in eight century. The festivals are held on auspicious days in which a series of highly stylish masked dances are performed.
