Summary

Located in the far eastern Bhutan, Trashiyangtse, Chorten Kora is a home to the famous eastern curcumbulation festival held in the early spring annually. Historically, the present stature of the Nepali type stature of stupa was built as a substitution to cut short the Bhutanese pilgrims from venturing a very long pilgrimage to Boudhanath in Nepal. The famous religious curcumbulation event called Drakpa Kora is organized every year following the immersion of living Dhakini Tawang inside the present stupa. During the event group of Drakpa folks from Arunachal Pradesh show up to attend this occasion.

Drakpa Khorlo for the year 2012 is tentatively scheduled on 8th March and 22nd March and travel enthusiast wising to attend could make up on any of these two dates.
